A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night - Graphic Novel Cover - Ana Lily Amirpour
I saw 19 films over 6 days at the Sundance Film Festival this year. All the films were solid, but there were definitely some standouts. Here is a list of my favorite films at Sundance (in no particular order):
THE BEST FILMS I WATCHED AT SUNDANCE:
A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT FISHING WITHOUT NETS THE BETTER ANGELS NYMPHOMANIAC: Part 1 BLIND WHITE SHADOW ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE
ALL THE FILMS I WATCHED AT SUNDANCE:

A short film I created in collaboration with Rodney McMillian for MOCA.
I went to the premiere last night of Terrence Malick’s new movie To The Wonder and have not stop thinking about it. The film puzzled me to frustration, while mesmerizing me to the point of awe. Again, Malick delivers a cinematic experience creating a unique meditation on love and human connection. It felt as if I was watching the collective dream of the film’s characters – ethereal, beautiful, meandering, inexplicable.
